Temperatures to Remain Near Seasonal Averages Through Monday - JMD

Amman, May 8 (Petra)-- Temperatures on Friday are expected to remain around their seasonal averages for this time of year, with generally warm conditions prevailing across the Kingdom, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

The department said light to moderate easterly winds will accompany the weather conditions on Friday.

A slight rise in temperatures is forecast for Saturday, bringing warm weather to most regions, while relatively hot conditions are expected in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. High-altitude clouds are also expected to appear, with light northwesterly to northeasterly winds.

Warm weather is expected to continue on Sunday and Monday across most areas, while the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will remain relatively hot. Winds will be moderate easterlies, occasionally becoming active before shifting to northwesterly during the evening hours.

Temperatures in the capital Amman will range between a high of 26 degrees Celsius, and a low of 13 degrees.

Highs in the port city of Aqaba will reach 33 degrees during the day, sliding to 20 degrees at night.
